Long Island, New York. -- A Wal-mart employee died early Friday morning, when a group of wild shoppers trampled over the man when the doors opened at five in the morning. Many others were injured.
The Black Friday stampede shoppers made the Valley Stream Outlet into chaos, knocking several employees to the ground. Some employees climbed on top of vending machines to avoid the violent crowd.
After the vicious crowd entered, 34-year-old Jdimytai Damour was dead and four shoppers were injured.
"I had to fight those people off my back, son r else I would have ended up the same way."
Damour, from Jamaica, Queens, struggled on the floor while careless shoppers walked on him witnessed Gilbert Bayonne. "The officers that came to help him were also stepped on by the shoppers."
Damour's sister, Danielle, said doctors told the family he died of a heart attack.
It was reported that there was roughly 2,000 people gathered outside the Wal-Mart's doors in the predawn darkness , and they were chanting "push the doors in" until the doors opened at 5 a.m. sharp."When they were saying they had to leave, that an employee got killed, people were yelling, 'I've been on line since this morning'" said Kiki Fierna. "They just kept on shopping, like nothing happened."
Damour was taken to Franklin Hospital and pronounced dead at 6 a.m.
The Long Island store reopened at 1 p.m. and was packed within minutes.
